Summer Bowls

We will be once again running Summer bowls from May 2012 when our hectic Winter club and league fixtures have finished.

In addition to a new Summer League, running on Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., we have a fixture list of 17 mid week matches, home and away, commencing on Wednesday May 2nd – make sure you keep a watch on the notice board for team entries and selections

About the Club

Ashford is a six rink indoor members only bowls club and is situated in Jemmett Road adjacent to Victoria Park:  The club is fairly new having been built in 2004 with ladies and men’s changing / locker  rooms, protected by a security system, and including good disabled facilities. We have car parking facilities and dedicated parking bays for the disabled.

We also have excellent bar and restaurant facilities (Hungers End) run by Zhara and her very friendly staff who produce tasty meals and snacks (see separate Catering tab above).

The club has a thriving membership and has an active junior section that meets every Saturday morning at 9 am, so feel free to bring along children and grandchildren age 8 onwards.

We currently have vacancies for all sections of bowling plus social membership that enables you to attend our various social functions.

We see ourselves as a very friendly club and are always actively encouraging our members to take part in playing friendly and league matches against other bowls clubs around Kent, as well as playing in our internal mixed, ladies and men’s leagues.

If you feel you would like to take up a new challenge please contact us and we can arrange free taster sessions. If you then get bitten by the bowls bug, coaching is available by qualified coaches or by some of our more experienced bowls players who are willing to help all bowlers improve their techniques.
